Our Origins
Saltburn-by-the-Sea
We are based in Saltburn-by-the-Sea which is located on the stunning North Yorkshire coastline and lies within the unitary authority of Redcar and Cleveland. With a built-up area population of approximately 5,874 (2021 Census), Saltburn remains a compact and closely knit community. Our company is proud to be based in Saltburn and to undertake extensive work across the town and surrounding region.
Saltburn-by-the-Sea has a distinctly independent business scene, with a high street that has a multitude of cafés, boutique shops, surf retailers and artisan food producers that serve both locals and visitors. Situated in close proximity to the beach, the Victorian pier and the cliff lift that drives strong trade for hospitality and leisure, Milton Street could be considered the place to go. The town is also home to many other services, such as accountants, web developers and wellness studios to cater for the town's everyday needs. Many firms are family-run micro-businesses, rooted in the community and keen on sourcing locally across Redcar and Cleveland and the wider Tees Valley.
Seasonality shapes demand: summer tourism and weekend day-trippers boost footfall, while quieter winter months encourage businesses to diversify with events, online sales and click-and-collect. Collaboration is common—pop-ups, makers' markets and cross-promotions between cafés, galleries and retailers help showcase local talent. With reliable transport links to Teesside and growing numbers of remote workers, Saltburn also supports a nimble digital and creative sector. The result is a resilient, community-minded economy where customer service, authenticity and local provenance are key selling points.
